Phew! So, as evidenced by the lack of any blog activity happening in the month of February, it has been truly crazy times around here.
After Development Dialogue wound up, all of us moved full speed ahead into the Fellowship. The approach was changed, individual attention was stressed, 15-16 hour days became the norm. Sleep was lost, weight was lost. Tensions were running high everywhere. But, so much sooner than I could have expected, Pre-Training is over.
This means that my responsibilities and capacities here have totally shifted. As of this past Monday, I'm no longer teaching full time, but have instead moved into more of an administrative role at DFP. The new responsibilities can be exciting, but over the last month the Fellows and I have bonded quite a bit, and I miss them! It isn't enough to just see them for a few minutes here and there. It's a tough adjustment, but we're making it work. It's a really exciting time for all of us - I'm learning new things through new responsibilities and they're having all kinds of new experiences now that their Fellowship has officially started. Pre-Training was a great experience, and gave me a lot of pride. Seeing the way that so many of them transformed and improved made me very proud of them, and very proud of the work that I am doing here.
Things are going to continue to be crazy, and blogging is going to continue to be difficult. DFP is currently in the process of a lot of strategizing and we're very busy laying the groundwork for a lot of new projects. I made a pact with Carmen, who has also failed to post recently of her adventures, to get a post up this week. This post does not count as that post, merely a placeholder to ease me back into the process.
So stay on the lookout for a real post on real happenings within the next few days, hopefully. For now, you can catch a brief, largely unexplained glimpse into my life by looking at some photos of some special occasions that have occurred over the last month (I wore a sari!). Facebook takes too long and is too tedious, so those have been uploaded HERE, with no captions, tags, or extra information. Hopefully in the future we'll have time to document these experiences more completely, but for now this will have to do.
Talk to you guys again soon!
